Services
Initial Assessments
An initial assessment is required to determine your child’s current abilities, investigate potential underlying barriers to participation, and design a treatment plan. It includes an intake phone call to learn more about your child, two in-person sessions to directly assess your child, and a planning session to review results, strategies and treatment plan.
Follow-Up Sessions
After an Initial Assessment has been completed, follow-up sessions can be booked to work on treatment goals. The amount and frequency can vary depending on your child’s goals, individual circumstances, and progress.
Professional Consultation
Professional consultation is typically done via phone or videoconferencing, and can be booked following an Initial Assessment. It can include one on one discussion with caregivers, other health professionals, or school team members.
Reports
Reports compile information from a variety of sources including caregiver input, clinical observation, and informal or standardized assessment. They also provide strategies and treatment recommendations. Reports are often requested by schools to support implementation of strategies in the classroom.
Letters
Letters may be requested by physicians, schools, or as supporting documentation to access specific funding or equipment from certain organizations. Letters are typically 1-2 pages in length.
